The TDIA, recently held the first of its ‘Responsible Dairying – Farm Information Days’ in Smithton on the 3-4 August 2021, and further sessions are being held in:
- Deloraine - 20 October
- Smithton - 21 October
Representatives from dairy manufacturing companies and numerous government departments attended the days, sharing a wealth of knowledge and information.
Discussions included, but were not limited to the following:
- TDIA - How to pass an audit - Farm Food Safety Programs and compliance
- Animal Welfare – Issues, obligations and reporting
- DairyTas – Industry updates and discussions
- Agriculture Victoria – Scott McDonald –Dairy and Livestock Development Specialist
- Dam Safety – Dam permits, effluent pond construction and alterations
- Council and the EPA - Environmental regulation and requirements – when they become involved on-farm
- Factories – The links between Food Safety Programs, on-farm practices, products and market access
We received a lot of positive feedback and are happy to be able to offer the same session in:
