A dairy transport business is a business, enterprise or activity involving the collection and transport of milk or colostrum from premises where dairy primary production is carried out to premises where dairy processing is carried out, or the transport of bulk milk or dairy products between premises where dairy processing is carried out.

A dairy transport business is required to be accredited under the Primary Produce Safety Act 2011.

Applying for ac​​creditation

To obtain accreditation from TDIA you will need to submit a completed Application for Accreditation Dairy Transport Business Form together with a Food Safety Program.  The applicable fee will be invoiced once the application has been received and assessed. 

It is a requirement under the Primary Produce Safety Act 2011 that an accredited Transporter lodge an annual return to retain its accreditation.

(a) Less than 5 full-time dairy handlers = $995.00

(b) 5-50 full-time dairy handlers = $1,910.00

(c) More than 50 full-time dairy handlers = $2,387.50
